NLE Choppa "Cottonwood 2" Album Available On All Digital Music Platforms 4/14/23

What were you doing at age 20?? For some people, the answer to that would consist of cramming for college exams, or working a full-time job. At age 20 NLE Choppa is prepping to release his anticipated follow up album "Cottonwood 2". As of this writing, NLE has at least 8 Platinum Singles, 4 Gold Singles & over a Billion Streams across all platforms. Wait! WHAT!? He's only 20!?! Get ready to add to that list as his New Single "Ain't Gonna Answer" Featuring Lil Wayne just dropped and is catching fire quickly.

The Atmosphere

If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of Downtown Memphis, then you'd enjoy The Pocket. This venue was welcoming and featured a certain urban flavor to compliment Downtown Memphis. Kudos to who selected The Pocket to play host for this party. I certainly enjoyed the food, as there were vegan & non-vegan options for guests. The atmosphere was relaxed with moderate networking. As NLE Choppa entered the venue, the energy began to shift immensely.

The Music

With a packed house of radio Dj's, club Dj's, media, bloggers, and tastemakers, NLE takes the stage to thank everyone for their attendance and support. He displays a calm demeanor and is youthfully well-rounded while speaking about his forthcoming album. NLE was very careful about the first impression of these songs and began to audible his original playlist for the evening. It reminded me of a Verzus Battle, but the only visible difference was NLE Choppa vs Himself. He went on to play a series of songs including "Ain't Gonna Answer" Feat. Lil Wayne, in addition to tracks featuring Rick Ross, Duke Deuce, and a song produced by Super Producer Timbaland. The listening audience fell in love with the song featuring Rick Ross and unanimously requested that it be played again. Following the warm reception, Choppa begin to open up more about the background of each musical effort. The track produced by Timbaland features a raw New Orleans bounce theme and was originally crafted to have Missy Elliott on the chorus. The story behind "Ain't Gonna Answer" reveals the artist's wish list feature with Lil Wayne coming to fruition unexpectedly. NLE eventually extended his playlist from 4 songs to playing a much larger amount of the album. At the conclusion of the event, NLE Choppa thanked everyone again and took photos with the attendees.
